Lost the keys to your lock? Noke bluetooth padlock can solve that!

How many times have you lost the keys to your lock? If you’re like me, I pretty much have to buy a new lock every time I travel abroad. Not to mention those times when I share my lock with a friend and totally forget who I lent it too. Now with the Noke, the world’s first Bluetooth padlock, I don’t have to carry around keys, remember my combination or even remember who I lent my padlock to!

Bluetooth Padlock is easier to open

What’s fascinating with innovative projects like Noke is that you can control the lock with your phone.  All you have to do is open the mobile app and you can open and lock your new padlock. You can even name or give a photo of your Noke. The MAKO team really likes how the Noke will instantly unlock if your phone is within a few feet but personally I’m a bit nervous about the security of this function – especially when you are walking away from your lock. Luckily, the Noke team has thought of the solution, making the auto-unlock function optional! Just for extra measure, the Noke will even notify you when your lock is open.

Noke is currently on Kickstarter and you can preorder the padlock for $79 which is $30 off retail prices. The innovative project has raised over $485,000 which is well over their $100,000 goal! They still have 12 days to go and have a stretch goal of $500,000 where you can select from the standard gray or black colour.

Support their Kickstarter or visit their website for more information! Want to write a story about Noke? Check out their media kit.

At MAKO we love seeing innovative projects get funded. The Noke is a device that solves a simple problem we face on a day to day basis. We support innovation and entrepreneurship!
