Make48 is an invention show competition that encourages young inventors to take part in a real-life challenge of taking a product from a simple napkin design to a store shelf. The show’s structure is filmed in a documentary style and the premise introduces multiple teams comprised of young inventors from across the nation who are given product challenges.

The teams must then build the invention from a simple napkin design to a product that can be sold on store shelves. After designing the product, the teams will present the product in front of the panel of judges with a website or video – all within 48 hours.

The top teams who win and impress the panel of judges win the opportunity to keep their intellectual property, acquire a license agreement, and have their product go to market.

After three years of running a successful and exciting show, the popular invention and innovation show has returned for a fourth season! To help you get a foot up on the competition, we’ve compiled everything you need to know about applying to Make48 Season 4 below.

About Make48 Season 4 and Your Chance To Apply!

As a major sponsor of the show, we are excited to announce that Make48 is back for its fourth season! For this season, the concept of the “world’s faster invention competition” brings together 10 teams from across the nation of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels to learn about everything they need to build and develop and new and innovative product idea. The invention show gives teams exactly 2 days to come up with an idea, build a prototype, and a video. The teams will then present what they’ve made to a panel of judges, including TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO)s director of strategy, Tim Uys! In this upcoming year’s special season of Make48, one winning team will be chosen to have their product continue along the journey of product development AND will take home a cash prize of 10,000 dollars!

If you or know anyone who knows, would be interested in creating a team to join and take the chance to compete against some of the most talented and passionate inventors across the nation, your chance to apply to Make48 season 4 has come! Simply create a team of 2 to 4 people with a team captain of over 18 years of age and submit a max, and a 2-minute video introducing who you are and why you want to compete.
