Meet Our Industrial Designer, Paul!

As a Product Design Firm, here at TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO), we interact with our clients on a very close basis in order to be very transparent about the design process and the development of an inventor’s product.

We are a team of positive, friendly, and happy people who are excited and passionate about design, growth, and learning about new ideas and concepts every day! With three current open offices, each member in each office carries a unique and special persona that adds to the amazing quality of what makes TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO) so great.

We started the #MeetMako campaign to allow clients and future clients who are interested in working with us to learn more about who we are and who you’ll be working with! This campaign also serves as a great resource to learn about who will be helping you produce and develop your product and introduce to you a little more about TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO), what it’s like to work here and about the office culture!

For last week’s #MeetMako, we introduced our Manager of Design Strategy, Rob. This week, our #MeetMako blog will spotlight one of MAKO’s Senior Industrial Designers, Paul Davis!

Meet Paul!

As one of Mako’s industrial designers, Paul is almost always involved in a lot of big projects we get here. His main goals and responsibilities as Mako’s industrial designer are learning about the client’s proposed projects and designs and taking their ideas all the way from concept to prototype.

As Paul works through the process of bringing product designs from concept to prototype, some of his favourite parts about what he does is meeting with the clients during the development of their product, seeing their reactions to their finished concept designs and prototypes and finishing products.

Paul emphasizes one of the most important tips and concepts that we love to rep here at MAKO, and that is keeping all product designs, especially the first concept’s designs, simple. Avoid the bells and whistles for your first product, and always remember you can add any extras and other pieces of design after you establish your first design.

Paul explains that one of his biggest motivations and reasons why he loves to come to work as an industrial designer at TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO) is the great team he gets to work with every day here.
