The New CEIE at University of Toronto
TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO) strongly believes that the working to develop the skills of young entrepreneurs is of the utmost importance. Investing in youth is a direct link to investing in our community’s future. The best way for us to progress economically and socially is to prepare the next generation for the world to come, and trust them to lead our communities in the years to come. The contributions of different multi-disciplinary young minds help build a new strong and hopeful community for innovation. We love being a part of a city that fosters these young and talented entrepreneurs.
The new Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto is designed to prepare students for the changes of the ever-transforming industry of technology. The new structure will be offering distinctive learning experiences that will enrich the entrepreneurial community while encouraging a vast variety of opportunities to different upcoming young inventors who wish to bring their idea to the prototyping stage.
CEIE: A Space Filled With Opportunities and Talented Minds
The building will bring collaboration between students and professors, provide new spaces for multi-disciplinary studies, and bring forth a new era of sharing knowledge among diverse minds. The building defines a new standard for engineering studies in Canada and fosters prestigious mentorship through the use of cutting edge research spaces.
Flexible surroundings and multi-faceted research labs are created to support students in bringing their ideas into life. From Technology Enhanced Active Learning rooms to The Entrepreneurship Hatchery, these are key spaces for dynamic learning experiences in specific areas of studies.
With leading technology provided for the students who may need fabrication and prototyping, the new center will provide services that go beyond expectations for its ability to foster talented minds. Traditional classroom ethics are changing, and the Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CEIE) are creating exceptional and futuristic advances to the education industry to boost the learning curve for every young entrepreneur.
The captivating architecture is being done by local Toronto firm, Sisam Mongomery Architects in collaboration with a British firm called Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. Due to their vast experience with broad knowledge in the field of sustainable architecture, the team was extremely qualified for the new complex.
The versatile nature of the structure is used to nourish skillful entrepreneurs into becoming successful, innovative young minds. MAKO loves that our partners at UofT share our passion for supporting the next generation of talented engineers and entrepreneurs. The future of technology is getting even brighter thanks to cultivating institutions like UofT. We are looking forward to the creative and imaginative minds that will be born from having access to such incredible tools.
