Invention Development Company Opens Office in Austin, TX
TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO) prides itself on helping as many aspiring inventors from coast to coast as possible. As an invention development company, it is integral to our success to be based in innovative and fast-paced cities. Having offices in both Toronto and Austin has been a great asset in helping people bring their “what if” ideas to life.
Both of these cities are the perfect fit for MAKO, as they are home to so many creative minds and startups. These two offices have also allowed us to serve clients to the best of our ability and bring innovative products to the marketplace through our industrial design, engineering, patenting, and consumer product sales services.
As an invention development company grows, so does the need for additional workspaces. Early on in the New Year, our company announced some exciting news: MAKO moved from our existing shared office space in Austin to our very own, brand new, state-of-the-art office in downtown ATX.
The new Austin, Texas office is exactly what MAKO needed to take our industrial design firm to an entirely new level. This office is a great representation of MAKO Invent and really creates the right work environment for our new American team members and clients. With so many new projects coming to us and our business expanding at an immense rate, opening a new second location in Austin was the right next step for MAKO.
As the President of TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO), I believe in having a unique, open space, collaborative, and professional work environment. The right work setting boosts productivity levels as well as the overall quality of work our invention development company puts out. Our employees work to the highest degree to exceed client expectations every time. We cannot wait to develop new products in this one-of-a-kind office.
Austin – The Perfect Place for a US Invention Development Company
Since I moved to Austin in early January to build out this office, I’ve had a number of clients, staff, industry affiliates, and university reps, through the new space – The main question has been: Why Austin?! Well, after a tremendous amount of research on a variety of top US city centers and visiting most of them, Austin stood out for a few reasons, which I’ll list below (yes, it needs a list!). Although we plan to expand to other cities as well in the near future, Austin was the perfect US head office due to:
- It’s a tech-company epicentre – Forbes recently listed it as the ‘top innovative city’. It is host to massive tech firms such as Dell’s head office, Apple, Facebook, and Microsoft. It has regularly been listed as the 2nd best tech region next to Silicon Valley.
- It’s booming – Austin is the US’s fastest-growing city, projected to expand at a whopping 6.1% projected economic growth rate (2011 to 2016).
- It’s incredibly talented – Top designs from all over the world flood to Austin every year. The prominent and highly respected University of Texas is also located right in the heart of the city (we’re already hard at work setting up collaborative ventures between Mako Invent and UT)
- It’s awesome – Austin’s city slogan is “Keep Austin Weird.” It is a city filled with cultural and economic diversity, pro-entrepreneurship, and a lot of creativity. The citizens of Austin pride themselves on happiness, helping others, and continual improvement.
This is an exciting new chapter for TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO) – I hope to see many of you at the new office and around the industrial design community here in Austin!
