MAKO Design Named a Creativepool Annual 2021 Award Finalist

Congratulations to our product development firm in Austin for making Creativepool’s shortlist for The Creative Industry’s “Most” Award 2021 in the Product/Industrial category. This year we entered this competition with the CNCT, a premium cooler custom-designed for Tesla vehicles.

CNCT | Custom-Made Premium Cooler Design for Tesla Vehicles

We’ve been seeing our client’s CNCT popping up everywhere lately. It seems as though Tesla enthusiasts and reviewers alike can’t stop raving about this cooler.

Tom Moloughney from InsideEVs, a massive global outlet that shares the latest EV news, reviews, and comparisons, said, “This thing is really well made. It’s really thick, filled with insulation.”

Trevor, the founder of Tesla Owners Online, one of the biggest YouTube channels dedicated to everything Tesla, shared similar thoughts.“I can’t say enough good things about the handles,” he says near the beginning of his review.

Indeed, the team at our product development firm in Austin have lost count of how many times he praised this mechanism repeatedly.

In fact, almost everyone’s drawn to the handles when they lay their eyes on the CNCT for the first time. We have to admit, it’s a beautiful feat of engineering. Inspired by the door handles of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, we wanted to create a function that had the same satisfying feeling.

If you’re a Tesla enthusiast, you can already probably see where this is going. When not in use, the handles sit flush with the top of the cooler. But with a simple and gentle press, the handles eject gracefully and lock in place thanks to the spring-loaded mechanism.

In fact, just about everything in the CNCT was custom-made by our product development firm in Austin, down to the gasket under the lid.
