MAKO’s Favorite On-the-Go Baby Products in 2021

Parents with babies or toddlers know the drill. A massive checklist must be completed prior to leaving the house on every single trip. Bottles, formula, wipes, diapers, snacks, pacifiers, extra clothes… the list of baby necessities goes on and on. Luckily inventors have identified solutions to these problems. Today’s blog features portable baby products from our Austin industrial design firm.

Top On-The-Go Baby Products List:

KiddieGo

Full diaper, but not a single changing station in sight? Stranded, like a sailor lost at sea? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have a changing station wherever you’re going? Thanks to our Austin industrial design firm and our client’s product, the KiddieGo Change Seat, there’s a light and portable alternative to searching frantically for a public washroom that may not even have a changing station at all.

When folded, the Change Seat has a similar profile to a thin messenger bag. When it’s time for a fresh diaper, simply unfold the change seat, and keep your baby secure with the built-in seatbelt. Of course, it comes with compartments for toys and spare diapers.

MiniMeis G4 Shoulder Carrier

Most baby carriers impair too much of your movement because they’re situated either on your front or your back. Named one of the best inventions by TIME magazine, the MiniMeis is a baby shoulder carrier that gives your kid the best view of the house. It’s specially designed to distribute the baby’s weight evenly to help relieve stress from your shoulders and neck.

Weighing in at less than three and a half pounds, it’s easy on the parent’s body and easy to bring around, thanks to its foldable design. The reason why our Austin industrial design firm loves this product so much? It comes with shoulder straps to provide enough upper body support to keep babies as young as six months safe and secure!

UPPAbaby Piggyback

The parents at our Austin industrial design firm are quite familiar with the following scenario. The child doesn’t want to sit in the stroller. But they also don’t want to walk either. When they’re in a fuss, there’s only one answer, the UPPAbaby Piggyback.

Holding up to 55 lbs, the PiggyBack is a wheeled step that’s fixed to your UPPAbaby stroller. All you need to do is snap the arms of the Piggyback to the rear of your Vista or Cruz stroller – no tools required. Once attached your child can enjoy the ride while standing. When not in use, just fold the Piggyback up. The entire stroller folds as well, even with the Piggyback attachment!
