TriMech Client Spotlight: Intellipan
At our Toronto industrial design agency, we look forward to helping the most innovative small business owners and inventors build and bring their ideas to life! We hear a lot of great ideas and love to see the genius and brilliant solutions that global inventors created to help society in their day-to-day lives.
Once we heard about the idea for Intellipan, invented by Jerry Rodriguez, the team at TriMech Design couldn’t wait to work on the design for this amazing invention!
About the Intellipan
Fans of nutrition and fitness know a lot about how much maintenance and effort goes into maintaining and regulating a healthy diet. Those who make the extra effort to track and count how much of what they’re eating definitely understand how much time in their day goes towards counting the exact measurements needed for their fitness and nutritional diets.
Weighing food can come with a lot of errors and without the right product; weighing food can be a tedious job. The Intellipan is a genius idea that fuses a functional cooking pan with a built-in scale to help you weigh your food while you cook.
Not only is the Intellipan the perfect solution for nutrition and fitness fans but it is also a smart and efficient product that can help quicken and speed up the cooking and meal prep process for people everywhere. Our Toronto industrial design agency loves how Intellipan is a simple and smart invention that solves a common problem that a lot of people experience.

MAKO Design’s Work on Intellipan
Upon hearing about the genius of the idea for the Intellipan, our Toronto industrial design agency was excited to take on the Intellipan project and create a smart pan that can both work as a high-quality pan perfect for cooking and figuring how to combine the pan with an accurate and high-quality scale.
The project was taken on by our senior industrial designer, Rob Colgan, and electrical designer, Navdeep Singh! Together, Rob and Nav worked on the ER research and concept of the Intellipan before trying out a test apparatus for the product.
Once tested, the team quickly made a mock prototype of the Intellipan to test out its viability in function and worked on its PCB design for its electrical component, and the current prototype for the product! The team loved working on the project and creating the design for the Intellipan and cannot wait to see its debut and success in the market!
