Magnus Skold's Bio

Per Magnus Skold is an industrial designer with over 20 years of experience creating user-centered, production-ready products across consumer electronics, medical devices, aerospace, lifestyle products, and transportation. View his project portfolio.

He has led more than 190 projects from concept through manufacturing, developed CMF strategies for global brands, and guided cross-functional teams to deliver award-winning designs. Passionate about blending aesthetics with manufacturability, he loves turning complex challenges into market-ready solutions.

Magnus is an avid writer on industrial design, with a keen interest in how AI is influencing the field. He has published a book on industrial design career growth titled “Design is Fluid” and creates a newsletter called “Future Creative”  where he discusses AI and Design. He’s also the author for Innovation Magazine, an IDSA Publication.

Magnus has been a speaker at the IDC (Industrial Design Conference) in 2024 and will be returning as a speaker running a workshop at IDC this year.

Magnus was also involved in design efforts on Dell 14G Enterprise products, Aircraft Seating, Medical products with Abbot and Stryker, and mobile development platforms with Texas Instruments, and EMP-proof telecommunications for use in government.
