Meet the Team: Keith Pedersen, Design Solutions Team
TriMech’s Design Solutions Team prides itself on having a team of skilled engineers who are not only experts in their respective fields but are also passionate about their work and dedicated to client satisfaction.
Today, we are introducing you to one of our remarkable engineers, Keith Pedersen, who has been an invaluable part of our team since joining in 2020. With over four decades of industry experience, Keith’s journey at TriMech has been nothing short of extraordinary.
From Design to Consulting
Keith’s career in engineering spans more than 40 years, and he has witnessed the evolution of the industry firsthand. Over time, he found himself drawn to the world of consulting. His expertise encompasses a wide array of areas, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), machine design, rigid body dynamics, and more. Keith’s decision to delve into consulting was driven by his genuine love for working with people and solving intricate engineering challenges.
A Collaborative Type C Engineer
Keith describes himself as a “Type C collaborative” engineer, which perfectly aligns with his role in project engineering. He thrives on collaboration and enjoys working closely with clients to understand their needs and goals. This collaborative spirit sets him apart and has earned him a reputation for honesty, dedication, and client-first thinking.
A Day in the Life of Keith
Keith’s typical day is nothing short of a whirlwind of activity. Juggling multiple projects simultaneously, he keeps at least three computers running to ensure efficient project management. This meticulous approach frees up his time for essential tasks such as post-processing, result interpretation, and reality checks on computer output.
However, Keith’s day isn’t just about crunching numbers and running simulations. He dedicates a significant portion of his time to working with clients, helping them unpack their requests and determining whether TriMech is the right solution for their goals.
Qualifying Jobs and Ensuring Client Ownership
A substantial part of Keith’s role involves qualifying jobs. He meticulously evaluates the requirements of each project to determine the best course of action. Sometimes, this means showing clients how to perform the work themselves, and in other cases, it may involve referring them to our staffing division for a more extended-term solution.
Keith firmly believes that ensuring clients understand and own their solutions is the key to long-lasting relationships. “When you work hard to make sure the client owns their solutions, they come back because they appreciate the honesty and collaboration,” he says.
Project Engineering: A Natural Outgrowth of Client-Centric Services
Keith describes the Design Solutions Team at TriMech as a “natural organic outgrowth of doing sales/support/training for 3D CAD.” This evolution reflects our commitment to embodying a comprehensive engineering support and solutions resource that extend beyond the typical engineering services.
Keith’s passion for his work, his dedication to client satisfaction, and his innate ability to collaborate make him an invaluable asset to our team. He’s not just an engineer; he’s a problem solver, a consultant, and a trusted partner for clients looking to achieve their goals.
In our journey to provide top-tier Product Development Services, we are proud to have Keith as a crucial member of the TriMech family. His dedication and passion embody our commitment to excellence and client success. We look forward to seeing what incredible feats Keith will achieve in the years to come, and we’re excited to have him on our team.
